What is Cashback and How Does it Work?

Updated: May 4

Cashback is when you receive commission back for shopping at selected retailers. Sound too good to be true? Cashback sites are part of an affiliate programme which means that retailers pay them for each customer that shops on their site thanks to them. Instead of keeping all of that profit, these cashback sites give a portion back to you allowing you to earn some money on your purchases!

There are a few cashback sites in the UK but the main ones will be listed below explaining how they work and how to sign up.

QUIDCO

Quidco is a site in the UK that allows you to earn cashback when shopping at selected retailers. It is free to sign up and you are able to start saving almost instantly. Some retailers include:

Missguided, PrettyLittleThing, JustEat, Pizza Hut, Nike, Benefit, uDemy, Argos, eBay, AliExpress, Superdrug and many more.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Search for your favourite retailer on the Quidco site

2. Click on the 'Get Cashback' button to be redirected to the retailers site. This is an important step as it will track any purchases that you make.

3. Continue to shop as normal.

Once you have completed your purchase, Quidco will track it and send you an email to let you know how much you'll get back.
